This Air Fryer Apple crisp is super delicious and ready in less than 20 minutes! Perfect for the Fall season, Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Apple Crisp Filling

  • 2 medium granny smith apples
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar (lightly packed)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter  (if butter is salted, omit extra salt)
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or equal parts, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove)
  • teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 pinch kosher salt

Apple Crisp Topping

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup old-fashioned oats
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar (lightly packed)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter  (if butter is salted, omit extra salt)

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 350°F.
  • Peel, core and slice apples.
  • In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, brown sugar, white sugar, pumpkin pie spice, salt, lemon juice and melted butter. Mix well.
  • Divide apple mixture into 2 mini round baking dishes.
  • In large bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, pecans (optional) and salt. Mix well.
  • Add melted butter. Hand mix until crumbs form.
  • Evenly sprinkle apple crisp crumble topping over apples in baking dishes.
  • Cover baking dishes with aluminum foil or baking dish lid.
  • Bake air fryer apple crisp in air fryer on 350°F for 11-13 minutes.
  • Uncover baking dish and cook on 350°F for an additional 5 minutes or until top is golden brown.
  • Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce (optional).

Notes

Air Fryer Mini Apple Pie with Pillsbury or Pastry Dough: Place layer of pastry dough in baking dish, add apple mixture and crisp topping (optional), cover in pastry dough lattice. Follow same cooking instructions.
Cupcake Size Air Fryer Apple Crisps: Cook uncovered at 350°F for an approximately 5 minutes.
Air Fryer Fruit Crisp: Substitute your favorite fruit such as pears, peaches, berries or any fruit of choice.
Pre-Heating Air Fryer: I recommend pre-heating air fryer. However, if you choose not to pre-heat, add about 3-4 minutes to your cook time. 
Leftovers and Storage: Transfer to airtight container or dish. Refrigerate for up to 48 hours. Can reheat and serve.
Nut Substitutions or Omission: If you are allergic to pecans, you can omit. You can also substitute other nuts such as walnuts, almonds or hazelnuts.
This recipe works well with any brand of air fryer including Ninja Foodi, Gourmia, Vortex, Nuwave, Cuisinart, Cosori, Power XL and Power Air.
