- Fresh Lemon Juice: Fresh is preferred. Can use bottled if necessary.
- Kosher Salt
Apple Crisp Topping
- Flour: All-purpose white flour.
- Oats: Old fashioned oats.
- Brown Sugar: Light or dark brown sugar.
- Pecans: chopped (optional). Can use other nuts if preferred such as walnut or hazelnuts.
- Kosher Salt
- Butter: Unsalted or salted (omit extra salt).
How to make apple crisp in air fryer?
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F.
- Peel, core and slice apples.
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, brown sugar, white sugar, pumpkin pie spice, salt, lemon juice and melted butter. Mix well.
- Divide apple mixture into 2 mini round baking dishes.
- In large bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, pecans (optional) and salt. Mix well.
- Add melted butter. Hand mix until crumbs form.
- Evenly sprinkle apple crisp crumble topping over apples in baking dishes.
- Cover baking dishes with aluminum foil or baking dish lid.
- Bake air fryer apple crisp in air fryer on 350°F for 11-13 minutes.
- Uncover baking dish and cook on 350°F for an additional 5 minutes or until top is golden brown.
- Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce (optional).
